HERRERA EXCITED ON FIRST SPAIN CAP

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera plans to frame the Spain shirt that he wore when making his full international debut as a substitute against England at Wembley Stadium.
The 27-year-old had represented every junior age group of the national team prior to making his senior bow on Tuesday, when he stepped off the bench to replace Thiago Alcantara in the 56th minute.

Spain were trailing 2-0 at that stage of the friendly following Adam Lallana’s penalty and Jamie Vardy’s second-half strike, but they admirably fought back to claim a dramatic 2-2 draw thanks to a couple of late goals from former Liverpool striker Iago Aspas and Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
The nature of the unlikely comeback only added to what was a special occasion for United’s former Real Zaragoza and Athletic Club star. "Wembley is the best stage for a debut," Herrera told the media after the match. "It was so exciting and an honour to represent my country. I will have to frame the shirt."
On Spain's performance and team spirit, Ander said: "We will take pride from this performance and fightback. That showed our footballing ability and character. We finished the game very strongly and whilst it was important to beat Macedonia, tonight we showed our fighting spirit.
"Another team would have surrendered but we did not give up and that shows our quality as a team, it shows the togetherness of our group."

WHATSAPP VIDEO CALL LAUNCHED

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature likely to strike fear into the hearts of its competitors: video calling
After months in the beta stage, the Facebook-owned tech giant rolled out the update on Tuesday to its more than one billion monthly users.
The latest feature could be bad news for rivals such as Skype and Apple's Facetime, as Whatsapp ups the ante in its effort to position itself as a one-stop-shop for communications.
Users will be able to make video calls across Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone devices in the coming days, according to a statement posted on the company’s blog
The new functionality looks similar to the normal voice calling feature, however a picture-in-picture feed will allow you to see yourself and who you’re talking to.
“Today we’re excited to announce the next step in our efforts to connect people – WhatsApp video calling,” the statement read.
“We’re introducing this feature because we know that sometimes voice and text just aren’t enough. There’s no substitute for watching your grandchild take her first steps, or seeing your daughter’s face while she’s studying abroad. And we want to make these features available to everyone, not just those who can afford the most expensive new phones or live in countries with the best cellular networks.”
Video calling is one of several new additions to WhatsApp’s feature suite in recent weeks.
All you need to do is simply update your WhatsApp from the Google Play store to make your first video chat.

The France international joined the Blues from Premier League champions Leicester City in July and has gone on to play in all 11 of his new side's top-flight matches.

Here's how to see the biggest supermoon since 1948

If you look up at the moon in the next day or two, you might notice it looks bigger and brighter than usual.

In America, the November full moon is known as a "Beaver Moon," because it arrives at the time of year when fur trappers would hunt the dam-building animals.

NASA says we'll be lucky if we see a dozen meteors in an hour at the shower's peak, when normally the shower lights up the night sky with more than 100 meteors per hour.

Nigerian army presence prompts Niger Delta attacks

A Nigerian armed group said the continued presence of the army in the southern Niger Delta energy hub has undermined peace talks and prompted attacks on oil-and-gas facilities in the region.

Most of the armed opposition have adhered to a ceasefire in the last few weeks, while the government held talks with community leaders who, like the NDA, want a greater share of Nigeria's energy wealth to go to the region that produces most of its oil.

"The Niger Delta Avengers cannot be blamed for the continuous bombing of crude oil export pipelines and other oil installations, since the government has been relentlessly carrying out military build-ups to continuously harass communities," the group said on its website.

The new tremor struck about 13:45pm local time (00:45 GMT) at a depth of 10km (6 miles),

New Zealand media reported that a 100-year-old woman and her daughter-in-law were pulled out alive from their home in the town of Kaikoura, after the house collapsed in the aftermath of the first earthquake.

Civil defence minister Gerry Brownlee told Radio New Zealand that "it looks as though it's the infrastructure that's the biggest problem, although I don't want to take away from the suffering... and terrible fright so many people have had".

Protester’s ‘Rape Melania’ sign draws strong rebuke, sparking Twitter trend

Some Twitter users saw "Rape Melania" in their trending-topics boxes Sunday after images of a protester holding a sign bearing the phrase during a Saturday-night demonstration in the District circulated on the social network.

Photos of the chilling banner, taken at an anti-Trump rally outside the president-elect's new hotel in the nation's capital, drew strong condemnations from Trump supporters and opponents alike.

Nevertheless, Trump backers have seized on the "Rape Melania" sign and the social media trend it launched to cast opponents of the next president as hypocrites whose objections to Trump's campaign rhetoric are now illegitimate.

Interest in #Calexit growing after Donald Trump victory

Interest in pushing for California's secession from the United States has increased after Donald Trump won the presidency.

The "Yes California" campaign is backing an independence referendum in support of a constitutional exit of the state from the US. In the wake of 60% of the state's voters supporting the presidential loser, Hillary Clinton, the movement is getting renewed interest.

"As the sixth largest economy in the world, California is more economically powerful than France and has a population larger than Poland. Point-by-point, California compares and competes with countries, not just the 49 other states," the campaign's website said.

The #calexit name stems from the successful "brexit" campaign in Britain to leave the European Union.

Millennia-old mummy found in Egypt tomb

Spanish archaeologists have discovered a millennia-old mummy in "very good condition" near the southern Egyptian town of Luxor, the antiquities ministry said.

The archaeological team's head, Myriam Seco Alvarez, said the mummy was decorated with "many colourful decorations recalling religious symbols from ancient Egypt, such as the goddesses Isis and Nephtys displaying their wings, and the four sons of Horus".

It is a key site for Egypt's tourist industry, which has been battered by political instability and violence since the 2011 revolution that toppled then-president Hosni Mubarak.

Trump keeps up media attacks

President-elect Donald Trump sounded very much like presidential candidate Donald Trump on Sunday morning in a pair of misleading tweets about the New York Times.

According to the New York Times Co.'s latest earnings report, the number of print copies it sold in the third quarter was down from the same period in 2015, but the decline was more than offset by 116,000 new digital-only subscriptions. Overall, third-quarter circulation revenue rose 3 percent; through the first nine months of the year, circulation revenue was up 2.8 percent.

Since Trump launched his White House campaign in June 2015, digital-only news subscriptions to the Times have increased 35 percent, to more than 1.3 million.

Black UPenn students speak out after racist messages

Black students at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) have said they were afraid to attend classes after a number of undergraduates were added to a chat group that subjected them to racial slurs and threats of lynching.

Officials at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday announced they had suspended one of its students for alleged involvement in sending racist messages, as US media reported the FBI was helping UPenn to investigate the matter.

"Penn is an Ivy League university so Penn, Harvard, Brown, and Columbia have a very specific kind of tension because there's always this expectation or assumption that you [as a black person] are not supposed to be there."

Clinton Asks all Americans to Support the New President

Clinton has finally come out to publicly to concede victory and asked all Americans to support the new President and help build a better America.                                                             tears at Hillary Clinton's Concession speech

Tears flowed

www.cnn.com

Much of the seating at Clinton's remarks was for staff and aides and the campaign was treating it as a farewell to the people who have spent the better part of two years working on her behalf, an aide said.
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine also was on hand. The Virginia senator was not with Clinton Tuesday night.
"I'm proud of Hillary, because she loves this country," said Kaine, who had tears in his eyes, as he delivered introductory remarks.
Aides throughout the ballroom were sobbing during Clinton's remarks. Quiet moments in the speech were filled with tears, sniffles and some sobs. Clinton's top aides, seated in the front row, were almost all crying.
Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager, was wiping away tears. Nick Merrill, Clinton's traveling press secretary, was weeping.
The most somber moment in Clinton's speech was when she specifically noted her impact to women and girls.
"To all the women and especially the young women who put their faith in this campaign and in me, I want you to know that nothing has made me prouder than to be your champion," Clinton said, her voice breaking with emotion.
There were audible cries -- and some sobs -- throughout the room.
Bill Clinton, while working the ropeline, wiped away tears.
Huma Abedin cried during the speech but kept a stoic face during much of the ropeline.
Clinton worked the ropeline after the event, moving from tearful conversation to tearful conversation.
She first spoke with Anastasia Somoza, the 32-year old woman diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia who interned for Clinton's Senate office.
Bending down to hug Somoza, Clinton told her, "You were so wonderful in every way. I love you."
"Thank you for all your work," Clinton told Somoza's mother.
She hugged Joel Bennenson and John Anzalone, two of her pollsters, who acknowledged to other aides last night that they didn't see the Trump wave coming.
She hugged Jim Margolis and Mandy Grunwald, who created many of the campaign's television ads.
Clinton left somewhat unceremoniously, departing through a blue curtain to the left of the room and later to her motorcade.
Clinton admitted the "LOSS" was painful but "fighting for what is right is worth it" despite any form of loss. she also said that all should accept this result and look forward to the future.. She has advised all her supporters not to grow weary and not to lose heart and should cherish peaceful transfer of power.
