In the 35th minute, Benzema managed to hit the back of the net in what was a second goal for the “blancos” set up by the effervescent Bale. Just before the half time break, Odidja-Ofoe managed to claw back for Legia Warszawa with a missile through the top corner of the net.

Serie A champions Juve knew a win at Juventus Stadium on Wednesday would have been enough to secure a last-16 berth.

All appeared well for Massimiliano Allegri's men when Gonzalo Higuain clinically dispatched a first-half penalty after teenager Mouctar Diakhaby clumsily shoved Stefano Sturaro in the area.

Juve were punished for a lacklustre second-half showing when Tolisso met Rachid Ghezzal's late free-kick to earn a share of the spoils.

FC Copenhagen 0-0 Leicester City: Foxes remain on track for last-16

Leicester City missed the chance to secure a place in the knockout stages as their 100 per cent record in the Champions League came to an end in a drab 0-0 draw with Copenhagen.

Without club-record signing Islam Slimani, though, Leicester's forward line looked blunt as Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy both struggled to stamp their mark on the game.

Claudio Ranieri's side needed Kasper Schmeichel to pull off a stunning save late on to secure what could prove to be a crucial point in the Danish capital.

Bale sets Real Madrid record for fastest Champions League goal

Gareth Bale's opener for Real Madrid against Legia Warsaw just 57 seconds into their Champions League tie on Wednesday is the club's fastest in the competition. The Welshman absolutely hammered home Los Blancos' opener against Legia Warsaw following an assist from Cristiano Ronaldo, less than a minute into their match in Poland.

And Bale had more than one reason other than having netted a potential goal of the campaign candidate as he wrote himself into Madrid's history books.

The Football Association has banned Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho from the touchline for one match after he accepted an improper conduct charge.
Mourinho was sent to stands after confronting referee Mark Clattenburg at half-time in Saturday's 0-0 draw at home to Burnley.

He has also been fined £50,000 for media comments he made about referee Anthony Taylor prior to United's game at Liverpool.

Leicester break Champions League defensive record

The Foxes have now kept clean sheets in each of their four matches during their debut campaign in the competition - a feat no other side has ever managed!

Leicester City may have missed the chance to secure their place in the last-16 of the Champions League in Copenhagen, but they still did enough to break a competition record.

Only Parma in 1997-98 and Malaga in 2012-13 had previously failed to concede in their opening three games, but their record has now been taken by Claudio Ranieri's miracle workers.
